Article 1.01: Permanent External Judicial Oversight TheFollowing accession, the European Union shall establish a permanentan External Judicial Oversight Mission (EJOM) for ten (10) years following accessiona period of twenty five (25) years. ThisThe EJOM shall be subject to formal review at regular checkpoints occurring every five (5) years. The mission will have theshall exercise binding authority with respect to advise on the integrity, independence, and transparency of high-level judicial appointments and anti-corruption prosecutions in the New Member States. Its assessments and recommendations within its mandate shall be taken into account by the competent national authorities in accordance with Union law.
