In cases where fully certified venues or accommodations are unavailable, the Host Section must evaluate potential sites based onmay consider the following criteria as guidance:

  • Energy Efficiency: Venues must prioritise the use of natural lighting and minimise unnecessary energy consumption through smart climate control and LED systems.
  • Energy Efficiency: Climate-appropriate energy efficiency, such as minimising unnecessary energy consumption.
  • Renewable Energy: Additional weighting shall be given to sites that utilise on-site renewable energy sources or procure renewable electricity.Sites that use on-site renewable energy sources or procure renewable electricity may be preferred where available.
  • Water & Waste: Selected sites must demonstrate responsible water usage and provide accessible, comprehensive waste-sorting facilities for participants.Sites are encouraged to demonstrate responsible water usage and provide waste-sorting facilities where possible.
